HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

We had a good visit yesterday morning. I wasn’t feeling well in the afternoon so James went to visit by himself. He said Jacob was looking at me when he came in and a couple of other times too. Jacob did really well with him. He didn’t cry and he played a lot. He did really well sharing his fishes with Anton.

We had another good visit this morning. I got the monkey backpack on him today. He didn’t like it at all. For those of you who don’t know, it is a backpack with a leash. We are trying to get him used to it so we can use it in Kiev on Sunday and in the airports if needed. Also it buckles across his chest and we need him to get used to that for when we put him in a carseat.

We are looking forward to spending the afternoon with our American friends and celebrating our Independence Day. Being here really brings to mind what the 4th of July really means to and for us. We are a Blessed Country. We hope every one has a Happy 4th. We are really going to miss spending it with our family. Someone eat a good ole juicy hamburger and hot dog for us. Oh, and don’t forget the homemade ice cream.

We are at 13 days and counting. I love you and miss you all. Thank you for all the support, prayers, and comments. We look forward to the comments every day.

Love,

JTJ

Sorry your not feeling well, that whole dietary change can really take a toll on you. There's nothing like seeing the poverty of another country to make you realize what a great country we live in even with all our problems. I hope ya'll have a great holiday and get a taste of some good ole American food. Hopefully, Jacob will come around with the monkey. Every time I am out with Matthew and his monkey someone makes a comment about how nice they are (he is only a tale length away). Call when you can, I may or may not be here, works needs help and I need to work. Scott's parents have been sick this week and daycare is closed for the holidays so I had to call in sick. 8 days until you pick up Jacob and 13 days until go come home, maybe it will go by faster now that you have some friends there.

James, Teresa, and Jacob,
Hope you are feeling better, Teresa! Happy 4th. And just think your family will be able next year to celebrate the 4th on good American soil and all of our other wonerful holidays! What better place than Sand Mountain! You are so right, we are so blessed and do not realize it many times. We continue to pray for you and are so happy about your new friendships. God is certainly at work!

Love and Blessings, Donna H.

Teresa, James, and Jacob,
Happy 4th of July!! We miss you!! I'm sure we'll eat enough for you too!! We made some peach ice cream that was pretty good. We'll have to give it a try when you get back.
I hope you are feeling better soon. Maybe it's the heat and the food not agreeing with your system.
I'm so glad that the visits are going good. Will they let you try the backpack on Anton or another child? Maybe if you do that he will want it on him. He will have to get used to the carseat belts here.
Hope you had a great celebration with your new friends. We really are blessed with all of our freedoms and the many blessings that we take for granted.
We'll have to do a belated 4th of July cook-out when you get back with all of the favorites. And maybe a cream cheese danish for James.
Take care and miss you much.
Love ya!
Becca
